The Tile and Pottery Workshop is just one of several directives to honour, empower and engage the visually impaired within the society. Through this project, the visually impaired have made new lasting friendships with persons who have visual access to smarter and revolutionary resources. For example, 63% of the visually impaired who attended this project were able to make friends and build lasting connections with the visually sighted. Of the 63% that attended, 46% have connected with their visually sighted friends on a number of different occasions and have learnt several tricks, hacks and tips to keep their independence up.
